SMSGT TROY “PUMP” HALL II

Hall grew up in Newport Beach, California prior to entering the Air Force in 2011. He enlisted in April of 2011 and pursued two career fields. First, he served as a fuels laboratory technician as a 2F0X1 Fuels Journeyman. He subsequently cross-trained into 1C5X1 Battle Management Operations in 2016. During his illustrious Career, he had six assignments including several operations, exercises and deployments. Hall served in the war of afghanistan. Hall earned his callsign “pump” during his service.

Education​

Hall graduated with honors with a Master of science in Digital Forensics. He was currently pursuing his Phd in ORGANIZATIONAL development at the UNIVERSITY of arizona. In true hall fashion, troy’s dedication to his doctorate degree was shown as he continued his education until may 2025, working from the intensive care unit in walter reed national military hospital.

The fight

Hall fell unexpectedly ill in the beginning of 2025. Hall was diagnosed with Diffuse alveolar hemorrhaging with an unknown cause. Hall & his wife were medically evacuated to walter reed national military hospital in march of 2025 from his duty station in north bay, canada. after fighting the unknown battle for months, hall was eventually diagnosed with cancer of an unknown primary (stage four) that was attacking his lungs. Troy gained his angel wings at 3:09 am on june 28, 2025 surrounded by his wife & family. Hall is honored to have arlington national cemetery as his final resting place.
